Pastor Adam Barton lives in Akron, Ohio with his wife and two sons. Adam has been an ordained minister for ten years. Reverend Adam Barton served at The Chapel in Akron, Ohio with excellence and integrity. He served as Pastor of Young Marrieds and Families, Pastor of Apologetics, Care Pastor, and Preaching Pastor. Adam served as a personal intern and research pastor for Senior Pastor Knute Larson and helped lead an inner city basketball outreach to African American men. Adam also served as the registrar for Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.
Adam served in missions aviation as the Director of Ministry Partnerships with Spokane Turbine Center(STC)--a non profit ministry located in Spokane, WA, whose purpose is to provide high quality training to missionary pilots and mechanics, enabling them to help reach every nation with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Adam was hired to help raise funds, create publicity and promulgate the vision of STC.
In 2011, Adam was asked and felt led to join the team of ICU Mobile. ICU (Image Clear Ultrasound, pronounced "I See You") is a non-profit ministry of love and grace deploying and supporting a nationwide fleet of mobile ultrasound vehicles so that every woman experiencing an unplanned pregnancy may have a free opportunity to see her unborn child and hear the the Gospel in a non-judgmental, non-political and non-coercive environment.
For over ten years Adam has served as a guest teacher/apologist in numerous churches, helping people understand why they believe in Christianity and how to defend thier beliefs. Pastor Adam Barton also serves as the Director of Spiritual Formation & Apologetics at Riverwood Community Chapel by helping people to learn about, grow in, share and defend their faith in God, Jesus Christ and the Bible. Riverwood is a non-denominational evangelical church that serves the greater Stow and Kent, Ohio communities.
